A visionary leader in global logistics and maritime strategy, Sam has dedicated his career to reshaping how the world connects through transportation. With over a decade of experience spanning satellite communications, international freight, and cruise operations, Sam leads innovation and cruise growth for Asaf Shipping Co., where he serves as Vice Chairman. His work is driving the company’s evolution into a forward-thinking player in the global shipping and passenger cruise sectors.
Recognizing the need for agile, customer-centric logistics in a fast-evolving market, Sam founded Asaf Global Inc. in Canada and Asaf Global Logistics in Turkey, where he currently serves as Chairman. These ventures have become trusted names in international logistics, known for seamless global operations and specialized cruise agency services.
Sam’s career began with a powerful launchpad leading International Customer Relations for over six years at Türksat, Turkey’s premier satellite operator. There, he developed a reputation for strategic thinking, cross-cultural communication, and forward-looking solutions. His relocation to Canada marked the next chapter in his evolution, driven by a desire to deepen his expertise in global logistics. He immersed himself in advanced English studies and specialized training at George Brown College , Toronto, Canada. This commitment to growth quickly positioned him at the forefront of cross-border operations between Canada and the U.S., where he integrated complex systems, optimized supply chain movement, and forged lasting industry partnerships.
Sam additionally holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Master’s degree in International Relations, an academic foundation that reflects both his commitment to knowledge and his global perspective. This unique combination empowers him to navigate complex international landscapes with clarity, strategy, and purpose.
Today, Sam continues to challenge conventional boundaries and redefine what’s possible in international logistics.
Having come from outside Canada, he truly understands what it means to be new in a foreign land, navigating the unknown with hope and determination. That experience continues to shape him today. He actively volunteers with refugee organizations, offers translation support to newcomers, and lends a hand at local food banks. For him, it’s more than just giving his time, it’s about compassion, connection, and walking alongside others as they begin their own journeys.
