Abdullah Ataşçı has always believed that the horizon is not merely a boundary but an invitation to explore.
Abdullah is the visionary force behind ASAF Shipping Company, which he co-founded in 2014, and now leads as President of the Board. Under his strategic leadership, the company has experienced remarkable growth over the past decade, expanding its footprint across both national and international maritime markets. Renowned for his sharp insight and forward-thinking approach, Abdullah has not only shaped ASAF into one of Turkey’s premier shipping agencies, he has established a benchmark for excellence across the industry.
Before founding the company, Abdullah built an extraordinary foundation in maritime logistics, starting in Singapore with a hands-on role in port operations at PACMAR Shipping. It was there that he first developed a deep respect for the discipline and precision that keep global trade in motion.
He went on to join MSC Cruises, where he gained critical experience managing complex operations within one of the world’s most renowned cruise lines. His journey then took him to Turkey, where he held leadership roles at İzmir and Dikili Port Operations—broadening his international perspective and strengthening his command of port management at scale.
Upon returning to Singapore, he rejoined PACMAR Shipping, this time focusing on vessel operations, refining his expertise in fleet and logistics coordination.
Each chapter of his career gave him more than technical experience, it gave him clarity of purpose. He saw not only how the maritime industry worked, but where it could evolve. That’s what led him to build a company of his own, one grounded in operational excellence, but driven by a bold vision to shape the future of global shipping.
Abdullah holds a Master’s degree in Logistics Management from Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Maritime Studies.
Beyond his accomplishments in the maritime world, Abdullah is a devoted family man. The foundation of his strength and inspiration comes from his beloved wife and their beautiful daughters, who remain the guiding light in both his personal and professional life. For him, family is not just a priority—it’s the heart of everything he does.
